Look What We Wrote!
The students in Mrs. Bohrnsen's fourth grade writing classes have been busy working on nonfiction Feature Articles. We have been writing expository text that start with strong topic sentences and include supporting details and facts. Please notice the 'grabber' beginnings and the strong conclusions. Our writers have organized their articles in a way that helps the reader learn more about the topic. I wish you could see their actual articles because they have added many nonfiction text features such as diagrams with captions, charts, and graphs to further explain their texts. Do you hear some fabulous 'spicy' words? We have been trying to include clear, precise, and specific vocabulary and add voice to our writing to make it more engaging to the reader.
